The wing spans of heavy-bodied Canada Geese may go under-appreciated because of the more heralded spans of slimly shaped birds like the Great Blue Heron, which are more often on display as they fly, or fish, while Canada Geese are more likely to be viewed swimming with their wings totally tucked.
